SINTER

24 kV – 630A – up to 25 kA

Minibloc-6 switchboards may be equipped with SINTER multifunctional apparatus, combining a vacuum circuit breaker and a SF6 line disconnector in only one device. The switchboard is a third smaller than a traditional cubicle, in which the circuit breaker and the line disconnector are separated, although functionally equivalent.

The technology of the Sinter multifunction apparatus leverages the properties of low-pressure sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) for insulation, while vacuum bottles are used for arc interruption. This combination ensures a significant reduction in the energy required to extinguish the arc, guaranteeing a long electrical life for the equipment.

Apparatus operating mechanism

The reduced stroke of the movable contacts and the lower mass in motion (compared to other interruption technologies) allow the use of very low closing and opening energies. These features ensure limited wear of moving parts and achieve a high number of mechanical operations without maintenance (10,000 operations).

SINTER multifunctional apparatus are equipped with a mechanical energy storage mechanism that ensures quick operation, independent of the operator, and can be equipped with a wide range of easily mountable accessories to meet all market needs.

The Device Structure

All active elements (circuit breaker and line disconnector) are contained within a robust stainless-steel structure that contains the highly dielectric SF6 gas. The structure is sealed for life, and six bushing insulators and the control device are fixed to it. The compactness of the structure ensures robustness and reliability over time.

SINTER multifunctional apparatus installed in Minibloc-6 switchboards is ENEL homologated DY800.
